Friends of Gold Butte announces the receipt of $5,395 Mosaic grant funding to provide technology and services to support our operations and mission during pandemic conditions.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had substantial impact on all Friends of Gold Butte operations and activities. During the on-going pandemic our stewardship projects, hikes, events, visitor center staffing, and community education have all been substantially modified to continue our mission during this time. The Mosiac grant funding provides substantial support for the organization’s ability to communicate and interact with constituents, volunteers, and board through Zoom conferences, the development and distribution of online educational digital assets, our use of social media, shift to online fundraising, and group email communications. This support provided funding for both hardware purchases and software contracts needed for pandemic related modifications to our on-going operations.
