Friends of Gold Butte
Online event
Just what is Workamping?
Workampers are adventuresome individuals, couples and families who have chosen a wonderful lifestyle that combines ANY kind of part-time or full-time work with RV camping. If you work as an employee, operate a business, or donate your time as a volunteer, AND you sleep in an RV, you are a Workamper!
Join the Friends of Gold Butte as Marjean Allen gives a presentation about this unique lifestyle. Her presentation will introduce us to the basics and resources with a focus on volunteer opportunities on public lands. New to Mesquite, Marjean is a retired Nurse Practitioner who has worked seven seasons as a Workamper in various locations in Colorado, California and Utah. She volunteers for Friends of Gold Butte, please welcome Marjean if you see her at one of our activities!
Our series will be presented at the Mesquite City Hall in the City Council chambers, where you may attend in person and view the presentation on the big screen there. In-person attendees will have a chance to win a door prize, so if you’re local, please join us. You may also opt to watch it via Zoom, and the link will be provided below when you register.
For those of you coming to City Hall, the address is 10 E. Mesquite Blvd. in Mesquite NV, and you’ll come in the front entrance and then go upstairs to the council chambers. There is no charge for this presentation, and you are welcome to just show up. If you’re not local or you’d like to view it in your own home via Zoom, you’ll need to register below.
