We love Gold Butte National Monument with all its natural wonders and majestic scenery. Let’s give back and show the place a little love this day-before-Valentine’s Day!
Join the Friends of Gold Butte as we pick up debris and garbage for a couple of hours and then gather for lunch, and a Valentine treat. Meet at the Junction of Gold Butte Road and Highway 170 at 9:00 am and then we will caravan to the work site, which will begin where we left off last month, so not very far down the road. We will be back in plenty of time for the football game, so no worries there.
Friends of Gold Butte will supply buckets, trash bags, gloves and a snack. Be sure and dress appropriately for the weather, and wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. We will be parking along the road, so 4-wheel drive is not required. We will be back by early afternoon so you’ll still have time to buy the requisite card/flowers/candy/etc. and have plenty of time to settle in for the Big Game!
• What to bring
Bring plenty of water and a lunch for yourself, and remember to wear sunscreen, closed toe shoes and a hat.
