Come and take a break from the holiday rush and do something nice for Gold Butte National Monument! Not everyone is practicing Leave No Trace, so join the Friends of Gold Butte as we pick up trash that others leave behind.

We will meet at the junction of Gold Butte Road and Highway 170, caravan to the work site and spend some time picking up trash. Be sure and wear weather-appropriate clothing, a hat, closed toed shoes and sunscreen, and bring plenty of water and a lunch or snack for yourself. Desert weather can be fickle, so be prepared.

PPE and social distancing protocol will be followed, and we still aren’t able to offer carpooling due to Covid-19. We’ll be parking along the road, so you won’t need 4WD or even high clearance, if you drive carefully.

FoGB will provide buckets and trash bags, but please bring your own gloves and wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty.
