Junction of Highway 170 & Gold Butte Rd.
Mesquite, NV, US
We need to install a monument boundary sign at the intersection of Hen Spring Road and Dud Spring Road. Jim Boone will lead the group for this short project, and if we are finished early, we could do a short hike up Nickel Canyon into the narrows and waterfall.
We need at least three people besides Jim, and he says five others would be ideal. We will drive South on Gold Butte Road, then East on the roads in the Key West area. Drive time is about an hour from the kiosk, and all the roads are suitable for medium clearance 2WD vehicles.
Jim will bring the tools, but you will need to bring your own gloves as well as plenty of water and lunch or a snack. This is a great way to help if you missed National Public Lands Day last weekend. It’ll be a short day, and many hands make light work.
