Hey folks, we are wanting any and all of our volunteers who are certified in Wilderness First Aid/CPR as well as our other volunteers to join us in a trash pickup on Wednesday, November 11, followed by a brief Wilderness First Aid scenario. We would like some trash pickup participants to be “patients” in a mock emergency. If you are interested in participating in the emergency scenario, please contact Charyn McDonnell at flowguide@gmail.com or text her at 541-771-0808. Please identify yourself when texting or emailing as she will not respond to things she cannot identify.
Please register via Meetup for the trash cleanup itself, and contact Charyn if you wish to participate in the emergency scenario. You do not have to participate in the scenario, you are welcome to just pick up trash and enjoy a great day out in the monument.
We will meet at the of Gold Butte Road and Highway 170 at 9:00 am and caravan to the work site. We’ll pick up debris and garbage for a couple of hours and then break for lunch. Friends of Gold Butte will supply buckets and trash bags. Be sure and dress appropriately for the weather, and wear something you don’t mind getting dirty, especially if you’d like to be a “patient!” We will be parking along the road, so 4-wheel drive is not required. We will also
