Friends of Gold Butte
First Rock Campground
Gold Butte Road
Mesquite, nv, US, 89024
Ready to have a little fun? Of course you are! Come join the Friends of Gold Butte for an evening of snacks and stories. Ken Marshall will return with some cowboy poetry, and everyone attending is invited and encouraged to share a little bit of why they feel Gold Butte is special. This is a great opportunity to share stories, see friends and just enjoy time in our beautiful monument.
We will have a campfire for roasting marshmallows and the fixin’s for S’mores, but please bring your own beverages and seating. We will meet at the First Rock camp area, and signs will be posted on the road so you don’t miss it. Please dress appropriately for the weather, evenings in the desert can be quite cool, even with the above mentioned campfire.
Those of you wishing to camp overnight are encouraged to do so, but that’s on your own. We are not setting a limit on attendees, but please RSVP via Meetup so we can plan for supplies. Please leave a phone number in case of changes so we can contact you, although at this time, rain or very high winds would be the only reason we would reschedule.
