Have you ever been out in the monument and seen one of these four-legged creatures? There are quite a few donkeys, or burros, roaming around in Gold Butte, so this is your chance to learn a little more about them, courtesy of Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue! Join us for this presentation by Kim Elger, Chief Operating Officer of PVDR.

Kim’s presentation will cover Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue and detail all of their divisions and what they each do to help forward our mission. She will discuss donkey behavior, their adaptation to our desert environment, and what to do if you encounter them in the wild.

Kim began as a trainer for PVDR in 2019, and then became a Regional Manager, Assistant Executive Director and is currently the COO, overseeing all operations throughout each of their divisions. She majored in Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX and served as team captain for the Women’s Soccer Team all four years. Kim has a 17-year-old son, Konnor, and an 11-year-old daughter, Briley.
