Gold Butte Road – Paved Section

Flash flood debris cleared by grader. Road is in standard condition.

Gold Butte Road – Unpaved Section

Flash flood debris cleared by grader to Mud Wash North Road. Road in reasonable condition to the Townsite.

GB Townsite Roads

Initial roads passable in a carefully driven sedan, then 2WD-HC and 4WD farther back.

Devils Cove Road

Recently graded and passable in a carefully driven sedan to the Lake Mead NRA Boundary. Watch for rocks in the road. Better in 4WD or AWD coming back out (northbound) because of very steep hills with loose sand and gravel. Past Lake Mead NRA Boundary, 4WD only.

Fisherman Cove Road

Recently graded and passable in a carefully driven sedan to the intersection with Virgin River Access Road, then 4WD to the river. Avoid washouts and watch for rocks.

Virgin River Access Road

4WD to climb gravel hill past Fisherman Cove Road, then 2WD to the end

Red Bluff Spring Road

Recently graded and passable northbound in 2WD-HC. Southbound is 4WD or AWD because of very steep hills with loose sand and gravel. Watch for rocks in the road.

Lime Canyon Road

Passable in 2WD-HC.

Little Finland Road

All evidence of the road was erased by wall-to-wall flooding. Road passable in 4WD. The high-step might be easier than it was before.

Mud Wash Road

Flash flood debris on the road between Gold Butte Road and Mud Wash, proper. In Mud Wash, proper, all evidence of the road was erased by wall-to-wall flooding. Road passable in 4WD.

Mud Wash Bypass Road

Mud Wash Road to Red Bluff Spring Road: Recently graded and passable in 2WD-HC. The bad washout was fixed.

Devils Throat Road

Recently graded and passable in 2WD-HC. Road in standard condition.

Mud Wash North Road

In the North Fork of Mud Wash, starting less than 1 mile out, all evidence of the road was erased by wall-to-wall flooding. Road passable in 4WD.

Catclaw Wash Road

Marginally 4WD. The steep end of the road is 4WD only.
