What’s Up With That Funny Looking Dirt? All About Biological Soil Crust
March 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
• What we’ll do
What sometimes appears as just unusual looking soil is actually a community of living organisms. For our March Gold Butte Speaker Series, Lindsay Chiquoine, a Research Associate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas will discuss the unique features of biological soil crust and why it is important in the Gold Butte landscape. She works on many projects including native and rare plant community restoration and restoration of biological soil crust communities. Our programs are free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:15, program will begin at 7:00 pm.
