What’s going on in the Mojave Desert?

February 28 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

• What we’ll do
What’s happening to our desert? Inquiring minds want to know! Join the Friends of Gold Butte as Dr. Scott Abella from UNLV discusses how climate change, fire and invasive species affect native plants, animals, and yes, human use of the Mojave Desert including Gold Butte. Dr. Abella works on research and conservation with UNLV students in partnerships with other organizations.
Current conservation and restoration projects will be highlighted, and there will be ample time for questions and answers.

Dr. Abella will also share ongoing research and conservation projects being conducted by UNLV in partnerships with other organizations, including projects by UNLV students.
