Please be advised that our educational presentation originally scheduled for February 18 will be rescheduled at a later date so that we all can attend an important public lands meeting in Las Vegas. Friends of Gold Butte has chartered a bus for Mesquite supporters to attend this public meeting. RSVP for meeting and transportation details.
Southern Nevada public lands are some of the most spectacular in the nation, and on Wednesday, February 18th we have the opportunity to speak up for these incredible places. Nevada’s lands offer thousands of petroglyphs, dramatic geologic features, fossil sites, historic mining and pioneer era artifacts, countless mountain ranges, unspoiled valleys, and unlimited recreational opportunities.
This is our opportunity to tell community leaders we need to protect southern Nevada public lands. Senator Harry Reid and Representative Dina Titus are hosting a public meeting next week and they want to hear from you about the places you love and want to see protected. We love Gold Butte and want to see it protected. Please join us at this important public meeting about the future of southern Nevada’s public lands on February 18th at 3:00 p.m. in Las Vegas.
Friends of Gold Butte has arranged for round-trip transportation from Mesquite to Las Vegas so that our Mesquite-based members and supporters can attend this meeting. Transportation details will be provided when you RSVP.
This meeting is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to preserve and protect archeological sites, critical wildlife habitat and undeveloped valleys for our children and grandchildren. The time to permanently protect southern Gold Butte is now! Please help to make that a reality by attending the meeting on February 18th at 3:00p.m. in Las Vegas.
Hope to see you there!
