Saving Nevada’s Reptiles

January 17 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

• What we’ll do
Join the Friends of Gold Butte as we present “Saving Nevada’s Reptiles” with Jason Jones from the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Jason is the state herpetologist, and spends his time studying amphibians and reptiles along with volunteers who assist in this endeavor. He collaborates with numerous citizen scientists to improve Nevada’s understanding of numerous reptile species through radio telemetry, trapping, road cruising, specimen vouchering, and reptile and amphibian focused bio-blitzes. He will share what the program is all about, and how to identify the different species present in our Southern deserts. Come and learn how you can become involved, or just increase your knowledge of the indigenous species in the Gold Butte area.

Doors open at 6:15, program will begin at 7:00 pm. Free and open to the public, donations are always appreciated.
